Individual

Name change due to marriage or divorce:

  • Required documentation: copy of Marriage Certificate or Divorce Decree reinstating maiden name change or other documents affecting name change
Company or corporation

Name change:

  • Required documentation: Certificate of Name Change including Tax ID

Name change due to a merger:

  • Required documentation: Certificate of Merger including Tax ID

Address Change

Please download the Address Change Form, complete the form, and email it to us at venado-ownerrelations@eag1source.com.

Ownership Change

Please identify the reason the ownership change is occurring and provide the required documentation listed below to us by email at venado-ownerrelations@eag1source.com.

Conveyance
  • Required documentation: copy of conveyance (deed, gift deed, assignment, etc.) recorded in the county/parish in which the property is located
Death
Owner died with a Will:
  • Probate proceedings should be conducted in the state where the property is located
  • Required documentation: copy of Death Certificate, Last Will & Testament, Order admitting Will to Probate, Letters Testamentary, Evidence debts and taxes have been satisfied, and Final Decree of Distribution or Judgement of Possession from the county in which the property is located
Owner died without a Will and the estate is under administration:
  • Texas Law of Descent and Distribution will apply to property in Texas
  • Required documentation: copy of Death Certificate and certified copy of administration proceedings from the county in which the property is located
Owner died without a Will and no administration will take place:
  • Required documentation: copy of Death Certificate and an Affidavit of Heirship properly completed and notarized
  • Texas Law of Descent and Distribution will apply to property in Texas
Owner of life estate dies:
  • Required documentation: copy of Death Certificate, copy of recorded deed noting the life estate, and remaindermen address(es) and tax identification number(s)
Joint Tenancy interest owner dies:
  • Required documentation: copy of Death Certificate of joint tenant
Trust or partnership is created or terminated
Trust or partnership is created:
  • Required documentation: Trust or Partnership Agreement
  • If appropriate, recorded document conveying the interest in a property to a Trust or Partnership
Trust or partnership is terminated:
  • Required documentation: Dissolution of Trust or Partnership
  • If appropriate, recorded conveyance to beneficiary
Change in Trustee:
  • Required documentation: recorded instrument whereby the successor trustee was appointed and copy of documented resignation of Trustee and acceptance of successor trustee
Divorce
  • Required documentation: complete Divorce Decree including Settlement Agreement and recorded conveyances, if appropriate
Appointment of Attorney-in-Fact:
  • Required documentation: copy of Power of Attorney
